About The Yellow House
Before it became The Yellow House, this beloved Crosslake spot was known as Lake Country Crafts & Cones—a hometown favorite since 1984.

It earned its reputation for generous scoops, genuinely friendly service, and that little moment of joy everyone remembers: the signature jelly bean waiting at the bottom of every cone.

In 1998, Pat took over the shop, thoughtfully expanding it while preserving the cozy, welcoming charm that made it so special. For more than two decades, she nurtured it into a gathering place where summers were sweet, memories were made, and both locals and visitors felt right at home.

Today, Crosslake locals Corey Palmer, Katheryn Palmer, Jessica Samples, and Ty Samples are honored to carry that legacy forward as The Yellow House. With deep roots in the community and a love for bringing people together, we’re excited to serve great food, nostalgic treats, and new memories—one scoop at a time—for many years to come.
